From Anthropoids to Humanoids

The robotic world seems to have its origin in the ancient world. When the anthropoids were transforming themselves at the very time they are believed to come across a person made out of dirt and clay called a golem. The ancient Hebrews who came across the golem have mentioned that it was created to help with menial labour. The ancient greek gods and mathematicians are believed to have come up with man-made mechanical assistants which were used for research and aid.

Robots have progressed from being able to sit, stand, and move using pulleys to becoming instrumental robots capable of playing the flute, drum, and other instruments to make musical sounds. Later, when mechanical programming advanced, Ada Lovelace created the analytical engine, which was incomplete but served as a forerunner for today's digital computer.

The term "robot" was initially used in 1921 by Czech writer Karel Capek, who used it to describe automata in his novels. Issac Asimov invented the name Robotics to represent it in his writings in 1942.

The fictitious concept of robots that have survived to this day is owing to robots' development from fiction. After the war, writers' imaginations came to life, and a variety of robots emerged, ranging from developed multi-functional computers to industrial robots to modern-day robots, and this development process is still ongoing............

Robots: Ally or Enemy?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer science fiction, and it has evolved beyond simply being the latest overhyped technological subject. It is set to have a significant impact on both the commercial sector and each of us individually.

We all have an unconscious admiration for technology that makes our lives easier, whether we realize it or not. Instead of resisting AI, now is the time to embrace it.

Automation will, without a doubt, replace knowledge in a few areas, but not experience. Overall, leadership is impossible to automate. Humans are born with the ability to imagine and create, and they are leaders, but robots are taught to be copycats and followers.

Because it introduced artificial intelligence, the human mind is extremely strong. The human intellect is, in fact, the mother of AI and automation. As a result, there is no way for the latter to catch up to the former.

Artificial intelligence will continue to exist indefinitely. Therefore, we need to embrace, adapt, and collaborate with AI to make the world a better place. Robots are here to stay as our allies :)

Encountering Reality: Busting Myths

The robotic illusion on big screens is misinterpreted as humans living with humanoids.

The world today initially needs to change its conceptions associated with humanoids and understand that we are the creators of the humanoids; the humanoids are from humans. The smartest creatures are the ultimate controllers of humanoids. Humanoids are bound to lack various traits which are god’s gift to humans and to date no programming has been possible which can introduce the sensitive instincts of humans into humanoids.

Accepting the law of nature is the ultimate solution for the dilemma existing among humans regarding the acceptance of humanoids in human society.

Information is not knowledge. Making misunderstandings with current facts is a mistake, and spreading falsehoods that might cause chaos among the people is a terrible thing to do. After a thorough examination, it has been determined that robotics is a specialized domain that is enhanced by AI and so contributes to the area of robotics in specific scenarios, although it is still not widely used in mere future robotics and AI will go hand-in-hand to transform the world into automated society.

The era of new AI-Human interaction

Since the dawn of the industrial revolution, humans and robots have been interacting.

From the first industrial revolution's machines to today's cutting-edge robotics and intelligent systems, the next chapter of human-technology interaction will be revolutionary.

Underneath the frills of modern living, the next phase of the human-robot connection is about who we are and what we need.   We'll be seeing more of Baymax from big hero-6 and Wall-e in the near future. With robots as friends, technology can pave the way for a society that is more empathetic and welcoming.  We may even be able to develop a stronger sort of connection with robots owing to their ability to express human-like characteristics.

Sophia is a social humanoid robot that debuted in March 2016. Sophia has since appeared on TV shows, engaged with TV hosts, and even performed at music festivals. Sophia got granted full citizenship by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in October 2017.

Some forms of soft robots:-

  • Alpha 2 is the humanoid personal assistant at UBTech. It can do a multitude of things, including remotely monitoring your home, instructing your children, and maintaining your schedule, to name a few.

  • Anki created Cozmo, an educational companion robot. Cozmo will be adored by children, who will appreciate having robot pals. Why? Because the more children interact with Cozmo, the more intelligent it becomes.

  • Sony's robotic pet dog is known as Aibo. Artificial Intelligence Robot is abbreviated as AIBO. The ERS-1000, the most recent model, can recognize up to 100 faces, remember tricks, and respond to voice directions. Aibo is one of the best robot companions because of his amazing technical specifications.

  • Groove X's Lovot is a robot designed to elicit an emotional attachment. It has only a few functions, but they are intended to heighten sentiments of love and warmth. Lovot has 50 sensors around its fuzzy body and can detect up to 1000 faces.

  • Emotech's Olly is the first robot to respond to its owner's personality, making it one of the best robot buddies. It anticipates the demands of its owner and makes recommendations tailored to its specific requirements.

Future of Robotics: A Glimmer of Hope

The forthcoming years of the blue planet seem to be impulsive but the enduring fact is that the human-made creatures the humanoids are going to be the major part of lives on earth.

The concept of smart homes which is prevalent in many houses today will become a common feature tomorrow. The world technocrats have set lofty objectives towards gleaming tech humanism in cumbersome human society according to which the world will be surrounded by robots in all domains and aspects. Automated robots are likely to be a common sight in health, logistics, and utilities apart from industries and machines. Self-driven cars are expected to be prevalent on roads and human drivers will become just an instance.

The advancing world is expected to be called an automated world in the visionary future with increased production and gleaming lives.
